Education

Our mission is to empower underprivileged and vulnerable communities in the US and Africa through education, healthcare, and community development programs.

Through our education support program, we seek to provide educational accessibility, identify training opportunities and poverty reduction through Christ-centered and holistic education.

  • Provide scholarships and other financial support to enable children and youth to attend school and access educational resources.
  • Increase access to quality education for vulnerable children and youth in the US and Africa through partnerships with local schools and education programs.
  • Provide training and support to teachers and other education professionals to improve the quality of education in the communities served.
  • Develop and implement programs that promote literacy, numeracy, and other key skills to support academic success and lifelong learning.

Through our educational campaigns and training, we seek to empower vulnerable children and youth in the US and Africa with information about issues that affect development such as climate change, AI and machine learning etc.,

Sub-Saharan Africa has the highest rate of education exclusion globally, according to the UN. Nearly 60% of youth aged 15 to 17 are not in school. We seek to reduce the high education exclusion in Africa.

In many African nations, those who can afford education send their children to private schools in the city. But that is not an option for many in rural areas, or for poorer families. According to the United Nations Education, Scientific and Cultural Organization (UNESCO), over one-fifth of African children between the ages of 6 and 11 are not in school, while nearly 60% of youth between the ages of 15 and 17 are not enrolled.

The education of girls is of particular concern: 9 million girls on the continent between the ages of 6 and 11 will never attend school, compared to 6 million boys. By the time they reach adolescence, girls have a 36% exclusion rate compared to 32% for boys.

Our approach to education support is to identify the obstacles to learning that affect vulnerable children and youth and provide the need support to mitigate the impact. We adopt a systematic approach to ensure that we achieve the desired results.

1

First Step

Identify the Obstacles and Challenges. It is still common in many areas to find children on farms or playing on the streets instead of attending school.
2

Second Step

Tackling the obstacles identified through identification of opportunities and stakeholder engagement. These forums provide us the ability to formulate real world solutions that can be implemented to address the identified issues.
3

Third Step

We create programs that seeks to empower the vulnerable holistically.  These program focus on tackling the root causes of the identified issue in step 1.
4

Fourth Step

We implement a robust monitoring and evaluation approach to ensure that we adequately capture and have the ability to measure the effectiveness of the implemented program. This risk management approach ensure that we provide accountability to our donors and promote sustainability of programs.

Education is considered a universal human right, as well as an issue of public good and responsibility. However, there are still many — particularly children in developing African countries — who do not enjoy this right. Help us today to end education exclusion in Africa!
